Frequently, in the course of the Vicky Bliss Mysteries, there are phrases in languages other than English. Oh no! you cry. I don't speak all those languages! Well, never fear; here are the phrases (arranged by book in order of appearance), my best shot at the translation (with a little help from Alta Vista's Babelfish), and the page number where each phrase appears (in my paperback copies of the books). In very large part, this page owes its existence (i.e., the fact that I was actually able to translate much of it without Babelfish) to LeeAnn McConnell, German teacher extraordinare. Thanks Miss McConnell! :) Heaps of thanks to Peg, Stefanie and MarySue for additions and corrections to my original translations.
Notes on translations: If a phrase or word appears more than once in a book, I've only included it the first time. So if you don't see it next to the page number you're reading, look earlier in the list. For Night Train to Memphis, I have a sneaking suspicion I've missed a number of phrases (they weren't easy to find, since they were not italicized as in the other books).
